Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Civil Construction
Location: Atlanta, GA (In‑Office) Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) with a background in Civil Construction, specifically piping systems and land excavation, to support project execution from our Atlanta office. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional looking to grow their project management career while working closely with seasoned Project Managers and field teams on complex infrastructure projects.

The APM will play a key role in coordinating schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and documentation to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers with day‑to‑day management of civil construction projects, with a focus on underground utilities, piping, grading, and excavation
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and material procurement
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for accuracy and constructability
  • Support change order preparation, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Monitor job costs and assist with forecasting and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and project specifications
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with progress reporting
  • Maintain organized project files and records
Required Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in Civil Construction, preferably in piping, utilities, or earthwork
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent field experience)
  • Strong understanding of underground piping systems, excavation practices, and site development
  • Proficiency with construction documents, schedules, and cost tracking
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or construction software is a plus
  • Ability to work full‑time in‑office in Atlanta, GA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with municipal or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with local Atlanta or Southeast construction markets
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously
