A well-established heavy civil contractor with a strong footprint in asphalt paving, sitework, and roadway infrastructure across Texas. With active projects for TxDOT, municipalities, and private industrial clients, they’re expanding their field leadership team to support high-volume paving operations in the Houston metro and I-10 East/West corridors.

Your new role

As an Asphalt Paving Foreman, you’ll lead field crews on fast-paced paving projects, ensuring quality, safety, and production targets are met. You’ll coordinate with superintendents, equipment operators, and subcontractors to execute daily work plans and troubleshoot field issues in real time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct and supervise asphalt paving crews (laborers, operators, truck drivers)
  • Ensure proper laydown, compaction, and joint quality per TxDOT/municipal specs
  • Coordinate trucking, material deliveries, and equipment mobilization
  • Maintain daily logs, production reports, and safety documentation
  • Communicate with project managers and inspectors to resolve issues

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving, with 2+ years in a foreman or lead role
  • Strong knowledge of paving equipment, mix types, and field QC practices
  • Ability to read plans and execute work per spec and schedule
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across Houston/I-10 corridor
