Our client is seeking a Advanced Full Stack Programmer/Django in New York City, NY.
Role Description
• This job is fully remote
• The main purpose of this role is to migrate functionality from legacy Perl applications to a modern Python/Django
• They will collaborate with management and other developers to deliver solutions
• They will contribute to development best practices for development team
• They will create and maintain clear documentation in support of application
Skills & Requirements
• 3 years experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and Django for backend development
• Exp with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and front end templates
• Exp with Celery task queues or comparable asynchronous work frameworks
• Knowledge of MariaDB/PostgreSQL and Redis for database management and caching
• Exp with REST and web-based API’s to 3rd party apps
• Exp with GIT for version control and collaboration
• Understanding of DevOps practices, cloud environments, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD)
• Exp with Agile methodologies and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Strong comm skills- both written and verbal, with the ability to document technical processes clearly.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts and SNMP polling
