Our client, a premier National Developer Builder, is seeking an ambitious Project Manager to lead Phase II of a high-profile 375-unit, $150M wrap-style multifamily development in San Jose, CA. This is a landmark 3-phase master-planned community containing high-end luxury apartments. This role offers the opportunity to manage a complex, large-scale project from preconstruction through closeout, working alongside a seasoned development team and top-tier partners and a high-performing construction team.

Your new role

• Oversee all phases of construction for the 375-unit wrap project, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met
• Lead coordination between ownership, design teams, consultants, and subcontractors
• Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost tracking
• Drive site logistics planning, safety compliance, and risk mitigation strategies
• Conduct regular progress meetings and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Support procurement and contract negotiations in collaboration with preconstruction and legal teams
• Mentor and manage Project Engineers & APMs

What you'll need to succeed

• 8+ years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a Project Manager role
• Proven success managing large multifamily, wrap-style developments or large Ground-up Commercial projects in the $50m+ range
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building systems, and local permitting processes
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
