Superintendent II - Multifamily Projects

Your new company

This growing employee-owned General Contractor specializes in several commercial sectors and is set to reach $1B in revenue soon. To account for this growth and to support a healthy pipeline of projects, they are looking to recruit Superintendents for their operations across Maryland, DC, and Virginia.


Your new role

  • Oversee daily construction operations to ensure quality, safety, and timely project completion
  • Supervise and mentor project engineers, assistant superintendents, and field staff
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and materials to maintain workflow and meet deadlines
  • Enforce company safety and quality control programs on-site at all times
  • Review and process shop drawings, samples, and specifications
  • Approve subcontractor invoices and requisitions per company procedures
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings and daily reports
  • Assist in developing and updating project schedules and site-specific quality plans
  • Lead preconstruction and progress meetings with subcontractors
  • Ensure utilities and rough-ins are completed on time to support project milestones
  • Monitor contract compliance and escalate issues to the Lead Superintendent as needed
  • Support procurement of non-contracted items and manage site logistics
  • Participate in monthly job reviews and corporate training programs
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold company standards in all communications
  • Deliver high-quality results that exceed client expectations

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years of multi-family construction experience as an Assistant Superintendent or similar role
  • Strong leadership skills to coach, train, and support team growth
  • Solid understanding of estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and field supervision
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents
  • Skilled in resolving subcontractor issues professionally and efficiently
  • Familiarity with subcontractor bidding, negotiation, and management
  • Experience creating project schedules and using construction software (e.g., MS Project, Procore)
