Senior Backend Cloud Developer – Contract – St. Petersburg, FL – $40.00 - $50.00/hr

Our client is seeking a Senior Backend Cloud Developer in St. Petersburg, FL.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of Azure-based containerized applications.
•Develop proof of concepts and prototypes at project inception
•Provide multiple solutions to technical problems and challenges
• Provide technical documentation, such as design documents
• Maintain existing backend products – implement new features and feature enhancements
• Implement industry best practices in cloud/backend development
• Diagnose, triage, and resolve defects identified during the Quality Engineering process

Skills & Requirements

• 10+ years of commercial experience in backend development using C#, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET
•Experience in developing and integrating RESTful Web APIs
•Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and clean code practices
•Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
•Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
•Azure PaaS services (e.g., App Services, Azure Functions)

Azure Service Bus
• Azure Service Fabric
• Experience working with microservice architecture in a cloud environment
• Practical experience using Docker for development and deployment
• Understanding of containerization concepts in cloud-based applications
• Experience working with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Experience with NoSQL databases, preferably Cosmos DB
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM teams
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, DevOps)
• Good communication skills in distributed team environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
