Our core focus is on sanitary, water, and storm systems for new subdivisions. With a dedicated team of over 100 field personnel and a close-knit office staff, we have grown steadily from $35 million to $50 million in annual revenue.

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented. Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative, respectful, and low-stress environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for underground utility projects and will contribute to the continued success and growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates for public underground utility projects
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs, solicit vendor and subcontractor quotes, and manage submittals
  • Collaborate with field supervisors and foremen to ensure alignment between estimates and field execution
  • Assist in project selection and bid preparation
  • Maintain a presence in the office (90%) with occasional site visits (10%)
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in underground utility construction or estimating
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Familiarity with construction science or related academic background is advantageous.
  • Experience as a foreman or with field crews is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary with potential earnings of up to $100.
  • Biannual performance bonuses
    (typically ~5%) paid in June and January
