Your new role

Seeking a lab management technician that will manage all the systems testing robotics laboratory assets that support the systems (hardware and software) verification and validation activities. You will work in a laboratory setting where you will help issue, set up, clean up, and track/maintain the testing assets. This will involve gaining in-depth knowledge of the robotics systems, how to upgrade and downgrade software, and understand the lab configurations needed for testing.

In your daily work you will:
- Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing of the lab equipment and robotics assets
- Provide technical support for the lab assets
- Manage the asset tracking system to ensure all asset locations, state, and availability are current
- Upgrade and downgrade software on the robotic devices to support daily testing activities
- Pull Assets from inventory and issue them to testing engineers
- Return assets to inventory from the field and return assets to their baseline state
- Manage asset maintenance plans for multiple labs through asset management software
- Work with management to ensure V&V labs are being efficiently utilized
- May also be trained to conduct simple laboratory procedures in order to assist the engineers (such as hardware calibration.)

What you'll need to succeed

Preferred qualifications:
- Prior work experience with multiple software systems.
- Work experience in a high through-put lab environment
- Prior operation and maintenance of robotics systems and prior work experience with multiple software systems

Qualifications:
- Education: AS /B.S. in scientific discipline or equivalent *Experience / Specific Skills: 1-4 years in a supporting scientific research role
- General computer skills including use and understanding of M.S. Office, Excel, and Word
- Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
