Your new role

• Perform repetitive electrical, dimensional, visual, and leak testing to written procedures using properly calibrated equipment. Performs measurements with mechanical and electrical instruments such as micrometers, ammeters, volt-ohmmeters, pressure gauges, laser optical power meters and oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
• Required to make their own test set-ups with minimal support from higher level technicians in accordance with written test procedures. Reads and interprets conventional electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Mass spec (i.e., leak) testing in accordance with written procedures such as IPTs, ATPs, QTPs, and MPs.
• Environmental testing, with support from higher-level technicians in accordance with written procedures such as IPTs, ATPs, QTPs. Programming and operation of environmental test equipment and performance of environmental testing.
• Test equipment calibration monitoring, in addition to 5S disciplines.
• Knowledge of handling and cleaning fiber optics is a plus.
• Under the supervision and guidance of a test engineer, he recommends red lines to written procedure.
• Test equipment calibration monitoring and recall support.
• Complex destructive and non-destructive testing.
• Training of lower-level technicians.
• Support failure investigation efforts.
• Review and approval of test data packages.
• Building of test fixturing and special test equipment.
• Assist lab management with job assignment and prioritization.
• Lead the test floor when a supervisor is unavailable.
