Position Summary:
The Superintendent will oversee all field operations for ground-up healthcare construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to AHCA standards and project specifications. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of healthcare construction, regulatory compliance, and the ability to manage complex, high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site construction activities for ground-up healthcare projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Ensure full compliance with AHCA regulations, inspections, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain schedule and quality.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and infection control measures (ICRA/ILSM).
- Maintain accurate project documentation, daily logs, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and healthcare facility representatives.
- Manage site logistics, inspections, and punch list completion.
Qualifications:
- 8–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a strong emphasis on ground-up healthcare projects.
- Proven experience managing AHCA-regulated construction projects in Florida.
- Deep understanding of healthcare construction codes, standards, and best practices.
- OSHA 30 certification required; ICRA certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
