Our client is seeking Project Manager – AI Governance in Parsippany, NJ.

Role Description

• Drive and project-manage the AI Governance Pilot for Commercial function, serving as a single point of contact for various Gilead stakeholder groups and functions (Commercial Data Scientists as well as the various supporting and advisory functions, experts, and sponsors) during the AI Governance pilot rollout for Commercial.
• Collaborate effectively with Gilead stakeholders across various functional groups that are involved in the AI Governance Pilot for Commercial, viz.
o Commercial Data Science & Insights
o Legal & Compliance
o Patient Privacy & Data Ethics
o Regulatory Affairs
o Clinical Data Science
o IT
• Own/support creation and update of key project documentation/handbooks/process notes – such as the Project AI Risk Assessment Instrument, Mitigation Planning Process & Templates, internal communication materials, training materials, etc.
• Support the Commercial Data Science team in filling out AI Risk Assessment and AI Risk Mitigation Planning documentation for new and in-flight Commercial Data Science and Analytics projects.
• Conduct rollout and ongoing /refresher process trainings for Gilead internal audiences:
o Gilead Commercial Data Science and Insights teams (Data Scientists, Analysts, Workstream Leads)
o Vendor/consultant staff supporting the Gilead Commercial Data Science and Insights teams
o Gilead Governance Committee members and other stakeholders
• Track and report on project tasks, status, risks/issues/actions, escalations, etc.
• Track project documentation/handbooks/process notes are being updated as per a defined schedule, maintain log of requested/flagged changes, etc. and follow up with the stakeholders or contributors as required.
• Track and ensure required information/supporting documentation for AI Risk Assessment and AI Risk Mitigation Planning is being submitted on timely basis by the Gilead Data Scientists/Leads and initiate required project management steps such as reminders, follow-ups, escalation, etc.
• Track and support timely response/resolution of queries and actions routed to the various Gilead internal AI Governance Forums/Committees and initiate required project management steps such as reminders, follow-ups, escalation, etc.
• Create a provide regular (e.g., monthly and quarterly) status reporting on AI Governance Process uptake and operation including key process metrics such as # of projects, types of risks identified, risk mitigation plan development/completion status, queries/action resolution status, turnaround times, queued actions/delays, etc.

Skills & Requirements

Skills and Experience
• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Statistics, MBA or a related field is required. A graduate degree is preferred.
• 4+ years of prior relevant work experience (Pharma/Commercial, Project management in Data Science/Advanced Analytics).
• Experience in project management of Data Science and/or Advanced Analytics projects.
• Demonstrated communication skills and excellence in working cross functional; with the ability to communicate actionable findings to technical as well as non-technical audiences in clear and concise language.
• Familiarity with application of Data Science and Analytics techniques in context of Commercial Pharma (key use cases), such as:
o Segmentation, Targeting, Marketing Mix Optimization, Digital Analytics
o AI/ML modeling
o Patient Analytics using Real-World Data (RWD) sources such as anonymized longitudinal patient claims data, lab/diagnostic testing data, etc.
o Business Intelligence (BI), reporting and dashboarding
• Experience with the application of statistical and data science techniques and algorithms.
• Exposure to/experience working with large data sets and exposure to/experience working with tools and software relevant to Data Science.
• Experience to use tools for project management
