About the Company
Our client, a well-established General Contractor based in Maryland, specializes in delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, they are looking to expand their dynamic team by hiring one or two Estimators to join their successful team of four.
Role Overview
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing competitive bids for projects across multiple sectors, including Education, Government, Healthcare, Multi-Family Residential, Hospitality, Parking Structures, Interiors, and Renovations. You will be responsible for evaluating project costs ranging from $5 million to $40 million, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and project requirements to develop precise cost estimates.
- Assess labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project feasibility.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive bids, budgets, and financial reports.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to refine estimates.
- Maintain and update a database of supplier quotes, cost-related information, and historical pricing.
- Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends, material innovations, and market pricing fluctuations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–5 years of proven experience in construction estimating.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
