Our client is seeking an Onsite Support Engineer in Corvallis, OR.

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Onsite Support Engineer to manage customer interactions and technical support for multiple enterprise applications. This role involves working closely with customers to understand issues, resolve them efficiently, and ensure application stability and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the .NET Framework 4.0, ADO.NET, SQL Server, Entity Framework (EF), IIS, SSMS, Linux, J Shuttle, Oracle, Redshift, PostgreSQL, Shamba, shell scripting, basic knowledge of Informatica, Samba shares, and core Java.

• Act as the primary onsite point of contact for customer issues and escalations.
• Handle tickets and provide L2/L3 support for multiple enterprise applications built on the .NET Framework 4.0 and core Java.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to ADO.NET, Entity Framework (EF), SQL Server, Oracle databases, and Java-based applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot web applications hosted on IIS and Java application servers (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss).
• Use SSMS and other tools for database maintenance and performance tuning.
• Handle Linux-based services and perform troubleshooting using shell scripting.
• Manage and troubleshoot Samba shares for file sharing across networks.
• Support data operations and queries across Redshift, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Java-based data processing.
• Utilize J Shuttle, or similar deployment and monitoring tools for issue tracking and resolution.
• Interact with offshore teams and ensure seamless communication between stakeholders.
• Work on basic Informatica support or coordinate with the Informatica team as needed

Skills & Requirements

Required Skills & Technologies:
• .NET Framework 4.0, ADO.NET, Entity Framework (EF), Core Java
• SQL Server, SSMS, Oracle, Redshift, PostgreSQL
• IIS (deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting), Java application servers (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss)
• Linux environment troubleshooting and support
• Shell scripting – Bash or equivalent
• Samba shares management and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of J Shuttle, Shamba
• Basic Informatica knowledge (ETL process understanding)
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication – must be able to handle customer discussions independently
