Our client is seeking a PeopleSoft Developer in Miami, FL.
Job Description
Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting HCM solutions in PeopleSoft and Workday HCM environments, focusing on Payroll, Time & Labor. Configure and maintain Workday Payroll and Absence Management, including business processes, security roles, calculated fields, and reports. Collaborate with internal departments to implement successful and compliant solutions.
Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, and scale marketing performance dashboards and reporting tools for cross-functional teams.
• Develop, customize, and maintain PeopleSoft HCM components, including PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, and BI Publisher, with a strong emphasis on Time & Labor and Payroll modules.
• Design and develop Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Web Services, and APIs, ensuring smooth Payroll and Time Tracking processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions for Payroll processing, Time & Labor calculations, and absence management.
• Develop and optimize reports using PeopleSoft Query, PS/SQL, Workday Report Writer, and Workday Prism Analytics, ensuring accurate Payroll and Timekeeping data.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FLSA, ACA, tax reporting, overtime calculations, payroll deductions, and labor laws).
• Work closely with HR, Payroll, and accounting teams to gather requirements and implement HCM solutions.
• Conduct system testing, including Payroll parallel testing, Time & Labor validations, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Assist in the transition from PeopleSoft Payroll and Time & Labor to Workday Payroll and Time Tracking, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Stay current with Workday and PeopleSoft Payroll and Time & Labor updates, tax changes, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Perform additional job related duties as needed.
Skills & Requirements
• 5+ years of techno-functional PeopleSoft HCM development, with a strong focus on Time & Labor and Payroll in large enterprise environments
• Strong HRIS management experience, leading projects from discovery to deployment
• Hands-on experience configuring PeopleSoft Payroll and Absence Management, including business processes, security roles, calculated fields, and reports
• Ability to develop, troubleshoot, and maintain PeopleSoft HCM components, with a focus on Payroll and Time & Labor
• Must possess Workday experience / have Workday exposure & understanding
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to gather requirements
• Workday certifications
• Service Now Experience
• HRIS experience in the cruise industry
• Experience with Workday Extend, Prism Analytics, and Payroll Year-End processing
• 5+ years of experience in PeopleSoft HCM development, with a strong focus on Time & Labor and Payroll.
• 3+ years of experience in Workday HCM development, specifically in Workday Payroll and Absence Management.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll processing, pay groups, payroll calculations, retro pay, and payroll compliance reporting.
• Proficiency in SQL, XML, XSLT, JSON, REST/SOAP Web services for Payroll and Timekeeping integrations.
• Experience with Workday Security, Calculated fields, Business Process Configuration, and Payroll Integrations.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with Workday Extend, Workday Prism Analytics, and Payroll Year-End processing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
