My client is a commercial construction company located near Baltimore, MD, specializing in general construction projects for federal, state and local governments across the DMV. Your new role

Your duties will include:
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, laborers, and other partners to ensure compliance with laws, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Assist the Superintendent in guiding employees to resolve obstacles and meet project schedules.
  • Maintain high-quality control and enforce construction safety practices.
  • Conduct systematic quality control inspections and document project work situations.
  • Prepare daily logs, handle deliveries, and manage job site cleanliness and safety.
  • Understand and enforce state and local codes, as well as OSHA requirements.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or illegal activities occurring on-site.
  • Inspect subcontractor performance to ensure contract compliance.
  • Assist in project closings, update punch lists, and create information for record drawings.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Experience: At least three years as a Foreman, Field Engineer, or in a related construction role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial and government construction is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, drawings, and contracts.
  • Safety Certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications are required.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with subcontractors, laborers, and project managers.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Capable of identifying and resolving obstacles to keep projects on schedule.
