Job Description:
A commercial G.C. company is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team in Pinellas Park, FL. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in multi-story tilt wall construction and public safety projects. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can manage complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work.
- Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Supervise and direct subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project requirements and timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained throughout the project.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project managers and clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on multi-story tilt wall and public safety projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety training preferred.
