Cost Manager - Long Island-based - International Consultancy

I am partnered with a specialist international consultancy that has been in business for over 50 years, leading the market in program, cost and risk management, scheduling and project controls services to a range of clientele across multiple countries.
They are looking for a seasoned Cost Manager to be a part of their award-winning team based in the Elmont, NY office overlooking a range of projects across various sectors, including aviation, retail, hospitality, corporate office space, and healthcare, with the latest being a large-scale renovation of a sports complex in Elmont, NY.
Your new role
In this role, you will be delivering Cost Management services across a range of projects, and various sectors, analyzing cost information, filtering that information and advising clients accordingly in terms of all cost aspects on the project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Interfacing closely with clients
- Managing and coordinating the activities of other team members
- Implementation of project control procedures
- Detailed cost reporting
- Contract development
- Development and management of change order processes
- Undertaking monthly progress updates
- Earned value reporting
- Estimate development
- Cost tracking and trend analysis
- Invoice validation
- Supporting work breakdown structures
- Monthly accrual calculations
- Supporting internal audits
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will hold a BA / BS degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related Engineering Field, have a sound working knowledge and understanding of the built environment, construction techniques and excellent analytical skills.
Have prior experience in either a Cost Consultancy, Owner / Developer, or General Contractor and have a minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in Construction Cost Management.
