This team is a leading provider of electrical services, dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join their team.

You will be involved in the Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project, a landmark $1.1 billion venture. This project focuses on constructing a new deep rock tunnel that will link the Kensico Reservoir with the Catskill/Delaware Ultraviolet (CDUV) Light Disinfection Facility in Westchester County, New York. This new tunnel is crucial for enhancing the reliability and redundancy of New York City’s water supply system by creating an additional pathway for water transfer between the Kensico Reservoir and the CDUV Facility. The project also includes the development of a comprehensive campus with screening facilities at Eastview and encompasses extensive electrical work, including the installation of substations for tunnel boring machines, site electrical systems, and facility electrical systems.

Your new role

As an Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting electrical systems and installations to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Your role will involve conducting thorough inspections, identifying potential hazards, and providing recommendations for corrective actions.


What you'll need to succeed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.

  • Inspect medium voltage (MV) systems (15kV and 5kV) and low voltage (LV) systems (600 volts and less).

  • Identify and report any safety hazards or violations.

  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions and improvements.

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.

  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

    Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Inspector or in a similar role, ideally with substation experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • OSHA 30 certification.
