A general contractor located in Hyattsville, Maryland specializes in providing design-build construction services for a wide range of projects. Established in the early 1990s, this minority-owned firm serves both public and private clients, including federal agencies, across the Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland regions. They are known for their emphasis on quality, reliability, safety, and on-time delivery of projects. Their services extend to international operations, showcasing their diverse expertise and capabilities.

Your new role

The first project within this position will be in Europe and will mobilize in August 2025. This project will last for 2 years and the successful candidate will have to be based there for 2 years. Travel home will be provided every 6 months.

  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures that comply with federal and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure project activities meet established quality standards.
  • Monitor construction processes and materials to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to address quality-related issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including reports, records, and certifications.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of quality and accountability across all project sites.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure materials and equipment meet required standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to project staff on quality assurance best practices.
  • Liaise with federal agencies and international clients to ensure project compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Lead investigations into non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee testing procedures for materials and systems to confirm compliance with performance criteria.

What you'll need to succeed

Due to the nature of Federal projects, there is a strict list of requirements for this position, including the following:

  • 4-year College Degree
  • USACE or NAVFAC CQM Certification
  • EM385 OR OSHA 30
  • Experience/Knowledge of Primavera P6
  • 5+ years experience as a QC on Federal or Military projects
  • Fall Protection or Confined Space training would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • Ability to work internationally for extended periods of time.

What you'll get in return

Competitive base salary up to $140K based on experience.

Travel allowances will include all work-related airfares, regular travel back to the US (every 6 months for international projects), $1500 stipend per month & fully paid accommodation near job site. Monthly stipends will vary dependent on the standard of living of the project location. Hazard pay is provided if the project is in a location where safety is a concern.
