Our client is seeking a Data Analyst in Atlanta, GA.

Role Description

Job Description:
The Data Analyst position is a hands-on, mid-level role requiring technical expertise, particularly with SQL Server and BI tools. The Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the business with ad hoc reporting, maintaining the Azure environment and data pipelines, and assisting the BI development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, particularly in SQL and relational databases, and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Ad Hoc Reporting: Creating ad hoc reports that require complex data manipulation (e.g., top 15 doctors with the most collections).
• Data Pipeline Maintenance: Maintaining and troubleshooting data pipelines in Azure.
• Business Intelligence Support: Working with BI developers to support MicroStrategy and Power BI environments.
• Data Management: Oversee activities related to data cleansing, quality, and consolidation using industry standards and best practices.
• Reporting: Design and run queries to generate reports for both ad-hoc and structured requests.
• Database Enhancement: Support enhancements to reporting databases to improve functionality and performance.
• Azure Data Processes: Monitor and support current Azure production data processes to ensure smooth operations.
• End User Support: Provide reporting support to end users, addressing their data needs and resolving issues.
• Custom Reporting: Assist with requests for non-standard reports and analyses for clients.
• Troubleshooting: Perform business-to-system analysis and troubleshoot complex management reports and business problems with guidance.
• Data Insights: Work with large, complex datasets to extract insights and support data-driven decision-making.
• Location Requirement: Must live in the Atlanta area.

Skills & Requirements

Top Requirements:
• Ansi SQL Development Expertise
• Azure: Familiarity with Azure is preferred; experience with Cloud
• BI Tools: Experience with any of the following Business Intelligence Tools: MicroStrategy, Tableau, Domo, Qlik, Cognos, Business Objects
• Communication: Ability to communicate with the business side of the company.
• Database Knowledge: A solid understanding of relational databases is crucial (Oracle or Teradata).
• Experience: Data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence
• Proficiency: Querying databases and working with reporting tools
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large datasets
Plus Skills:
• Azure Studio
• T-SQL Queries
• Writing SSRS
• BI Tools: (1 or more) MicroStrategy, Tableau, Domo, Qlik, Cognos, Business Objects
• Complex Queries: Create complex queries to drive insights
