Your new company

As the Lead Engineer (One-Man Plant), you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage preventive maintenance schedules, respond to work orders, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards. You’ll also coordinate with vendors and oversee capital improvement projects as needed.

Your new role

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation for compliance
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and resident requests
• Manage vendor relationships and supervise contracted work
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience in building engineering or facilities maintenance
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems
• EPA Universal Certification preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage a one-man plant
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
