This mid-sized General Contractor is headquartered out of Rockville and is a specialist in the ground-up construction of retail, self-storage, automotive and other commercial buildings across the DMV region. They are looking to expand their team as a result of a robust project pipeline.

Your new role

Within this position, you will be a Superintendent for ground-up commercial projects across the DMV and beyond. You will be responsible for all field operations within your site including, but not limited to, the following duties:

• Oversee all aspects of the construction project for the entirety of its lifecycle
• Ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Coordinate with the project manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed according to the project plans and specifications.
• Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as needed to keep it on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed on the job site
• Keep accurate records of all work completed and materials used
• Prepare progress reports and communicate regularly with the project manager and other stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Ground-up or Base-build Superintendent for commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of construction, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team of subcontractors and workers.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
