Job Title: Civil Siteworks and Utilities Foreman/Superintendent
Job Summary: The Civil Siteworks and Utilities Foreman/Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of civil siteworks and utility installations on construction projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of siteworks and utility installations, including grading, excavation, stormwater management, water and sewer systems, and paving.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of site workers, subcontractors, and equipment operators. Provide training and guidance to ensure safety and productivity.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and protocols on-site. Conduct safety meetings and ensure all team members are aware of safety procedures.
- Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment, and labor resources efficiently. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any changes to the project scope. Prepare and submit required documentation to project managers and clients.
- Communication: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or changes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil siteworks and utilities construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in construction management or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, knowledge of construction safety regulations, and ability to operate construction equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and operate heavy machinery.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
