Commercial Construction General Contractor hiring a Superintendent for an interiors fit-out project.

Your new role:


Seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent for a 4 month assignment for a project in Washington DC starting in October. This Commercial general contractor is looking for a Superintendent with 3+ years of construction experience, ideally in interior fit-out or renovation projects. There is the opportunity here for longer term work on a contract basis or for this individual to convert to a direct, permanent employee of the general contractor.


About the company and position:


  • A 20+ year established, full service general contractor who specialise commercial interior office projects.
  • They are looking to hire a 3+ year experienced Superintendent who can lead the companies’ efforts on a $500k commercial office construction project in DC.
  • Superintendent needs to be client facing, having the ability to effectively communicate and drive the on-site subcontractor as well as holding weekly progress meetings with the Project Manager.
  • You will have the support of a Project Manager who has worked the client for 5+ years for and has built up a fantastic relationship for you to further develop.
  • Normal daytime hours of 6am - 3pm and very limited weekend work required.


What you'll need to succeed:
  • 3+ years of being a Commercial Superintendent within the commercial construction industry.
  • OSHA certified.
  • Experience in using Procore construction technology.
  • Have reliable transport.
  • There is the option for further projects with this company, as well as the potential opportunity to convert into a permanent employee if that is of interest to you.
