Your new role

  • Managing commercial construction projects ranging in budgets from $500K - $40m
  • Manage relationships with project owners, design teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Accurately document all required project information using appropriate technology.
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and employees on-site.
  • Ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment and materials to prevent project delays.
  • Lead job-related meetings and safety initiatives.
  • Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with project scope, specifications, and local codes.
  • Maintain detailed records of project work situations for potential claims or liens.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements and conduct safety inspections.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure contract compliance.
  • Manage project closings, update punch lists, and create information for record drawings.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience: At least 5+ years Superintendent experience in ground-up construction - ideally working on municipal, community, K-12 or Higher Education projects
  • Education: Technical training or a degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to communicate professionally in person and via email.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong skills in anticipating and resolving issues before they develop.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and juggle competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Must be able to earn the respect of subcontractors and work effectively in a team setting.
  • Sense of Urgency: A proactive approach to solving problems and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
