Project Manager required to deliver Education / DSA projects for leading General Contractor

A well-established General Contractor based in Southern California has a strong focus on public infrastructure and educational facilities. They specialize in delivering high-quality construction services for projects governed by the Division of the State Architect (DSA). Their portfolio includes K–12 schools, community colleges, and essential services buildings. They take pride in our commitment to safety, compliance, and excellence in construction.

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead their DSA projects. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from planning to completion. Your expertise in DSA regulations, project coordination, and team management will be critical to their continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Compliance:
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and DSA representatives to develop project plans that adhere to California’s codes (Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations).
    • Ensure compliance with DSA requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Obtain necessary approvals and permits from DSA.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:
  • Construction Oversight:
    • Supervise construction activities on-site, emphasizing safety, quality, and adherence to DSA standards.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare progress reports, project summaries, and documentation required by DSA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, specifically with DSA projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of DSA regulations and Title 24 compliance.
