K-12 Project Manager

Our client is a Tier 1 General Contractor, who has a long history of successful projects and a commitment to delivering high quality construction services to clients across various industries. They offer a range of construction services including construction management, general contracting, and design-build. They are very well known for their expertise in handling complex and large-scale projects.
They are hiring for a Project Manager with significant experience in local K-12 projects. This position provides a growth opportunity to estimate, bid, and lead k-12 market projects, while mentoring the junior level staff. Excellent opportunity to play a key role in expanding footprint in the k-12 market sector.
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for multiple projects across the Greater Chicago Area ranging from $10M - $100M with m any projects ongoing and some due to start this fall in preconstruction with construction in the summer when school is out.
Your new role
As the Project Manager you will be working with a highly experienced team working on K-12 projects based in Barrington and managing projects in the surrounding areas.
You will collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, establish GMP, procurement and tracking, sub selection.
What you'll need to succeed
Capable of managing projects $5+ million in size
Perform project closeout
You will have proven experience as a Project Manager 5+ years working within the K-12 sector / Higher education market
B.S. in Construction Engineering or related technical area preferred.
Strong leadership skills and budget management/cost techniques.
