A Top Contractor in the Southeast is currently looking to on-board a Project Manager for their hospitality construction division here in Atlanta, GA. This company boasts a diverse portfolio of project types. They are looking to onboard a Project Manager to help guide project teams building low-to-mid-rise hotels in the Southeast.
Your new role
The Project Manager job entails managing all activities associated with the construction of hospitality projects such as low-to-mid-rise hotels. Some of the responsibilities for this Project Manager include managing contracts, costs, schedules, safety, and quality throughout all phases of the construction process. Project Managers will also be accountable for maintaining relationships with the clients, building trust and value throughout the construction process. These ground-up projects typically fall in the $10-25M range, with 100-150 units.
What you’ll need to succeed
To qualify for the Project Manager job, eligible candidates must possess a B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
You will also need to have at least 5 years or more of experience in the commercial construction industry, preferably with a general contractor or builder/developer and have completed at least 2 previous hotel builds. To be successful, you need to be able to read construction drawings, be proficient in buyout of subcontracts, financial forecasting, and be familiar with Atlanta’s subcontractor and vendor market. Organizational, administrative, and communication skills are also crucial to the success of the Project Manager job.
