HR Manager (Global Events/Hospitality)

A fantastic and highly unique opportunity has arisen for our client who is within the Event Management/Hospitality industry focused on large sporting events globally and setting up operations in the US for these events. You will be the sole HR Manager within the US entity, supporting the core US team and the extended US team during the events.
Due to the nature of the company, this is a 2-year full-time employment position which could be extended.

Your new role

Reporting to the Group HR Manager based in the UK, you will play a key role in supporting and developing HR functional operations. You will primarily focus on talent acquisition, overseeing the entire recruitment process from sourcing, interviewing, extending offers, onboarding, as well as managing employment contracts. Additionally, you will handle payroll, benefits, employee relations, engagement, health and safety, immigration, and compliance, making sure policies are aligned with the organization’s mission and values. This role requires willingness to travel and operates on a hybrid model, with four days in the office and one day remote.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree and SHRM certification preferred
  • 8–10 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in event management or hospitality.
  • Proven HR management in US startups (experience with international relocation is beneficial).
  • Multi-state and international business experience (US, Canada, Mexico preferred).
  • Extensive experience in full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, extending offers, onboarding, and managing employment contracts.
  • Detailed knowledge of employment law compliance and international expatriate exposure is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage HR autonomously, build strong stakeholder relationships, and provide excellent service.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
