The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Document Specialist/Technical Writer in Boca Raton, FL.
Responsibilities
•The contract writer will be responsible for drafting and reviewing documentation related to but not limited to, procurement activities, such as purchase orders, service agreements, vendor contracts, modifications, and amendments.
•Creates contract documentation, including the development of the scope of services, performance requirements, and terms and conditions. Develops language that defines the delivery, service, quality, and pricing for services or products procured.
• Ensures language is clear and consistent and coordinates with all business units and stakeholders to ensure all protocols, procedures, and requirements are developed in accordance with the Department’s needs.
• Tasks also include the maintenance of an internal documentation library, providing and/or coordinating special documentation services as required, and oversight of special projects as needed.
•Must have strong organizational and project management skills and excellent writing and editing skills. The contract writer must have the ability to develop new contractual language based on business needs and should not rely only on template documents.
Skills & Requirements
• 5+ years of technical writing experience, specifically in procurement processes and documentation
• Proven experience in document management, including drafting and editing contracts, performance requirements, and terms & conditions
• Must possess the ability to develop new contractual language based on business needs – not solely reliant on templates
• Must possess strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective in collaborating with legal, procurement, and business stakeholders
• Knowledge of federal, state, and/or local procurement laws and regulations
• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Technical Writing, Business Administration
Education:bachelor’s degree in legal studies, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or other related field.
Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years of business or technical writing experience and working knowledge of procurement processes/documentation.
• Intermediate professional level role. Works on several moderately complex, to complex document management projects as a project team member.
• May coach more junior staff.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and/or local procurement laws and regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong collaboration skills to work with legal counsel, procurement officers, and business stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills.
