Overview:
The Superintendent oversees the construction and renovation of restaurant projects from start to finish. They collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Review construction documents and provide input during the pre-construction phase.
On-Site Supervision:
  • Manage day-to-day construction activities on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Monitor progress, address issues, and adjust schedules as needed.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
  • Resolve conflicts and address performance issues promptly.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect workmanship, materials, and installations to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Address any deficiencies or deviations from plans.
  • Implement corrective actions as necessary.
Budget and Cost Management:
  • Monitor project costs, track expenses, and manage change orders.
  • Work closely with the project manager to stay within budget.
  • Provide accurate progress reports and cost projections.
Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones.
Problem-Solving:
  • Identify potential issues and proactively address them.
  • Collaborate with the project team to find solutions.
  • Make informed decisions to keep the project on track.


Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a superintendent in restaurant construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
