Your new company

Our client is one of Houston’s leading concrete contractors who operate in the commercial construction market. They self-perform all their work and specialize in mass flat concrete, tilt wall and structural concrete. With projects ranging from $1Mill to $50Mill, they mainly work with general contractors and private subsidiaries. They have a great reputation in the market and have been in Houston for over 40 years. Due to increased work, they are now looking for a senior estimator who has experience working on concrete commercial projects.

Your new role

You will be working within the concrete division preparing bids for self-done structural concrete work. Your main duties will be to prepare competitive dues that result in profitable construction projects. You will be responsible for preparing estimates, quantity take-offs, material price list, labor costs as well as estimating equipment costs.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as an estimator in business and have experience of working on concrete projects. A strong experience estimating commercial concrete flats and structures. A bachelor’s degree would be ideal, but relevant experience will also be considered. You will have hard bid experience as well as experience working 30mill projects of $5-$30mill.
