Job Summary:
Our Client, is seeking a skilled Entry Level On-Site Field Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in one or mor of the following: site development, underground utilities (water, gas, electric, sewer), retaining walls, and earthwork. This role involves overseeing and managing aspects of construction projects on-site, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The position will report to the company owner, Project Managers and have direct interaction with company Superintendents

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site activities for heavy civil construction projects, including site development, underground utilities, retaining walls, and earthwork.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Related Field Experience. - Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on site development, underground utilities, retaining walls, and earthwork.
- Communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
