The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a SOC Analyst III in Miami, FL/ Hybrid.
Role Description
• Ability to confidently and simply explain technical security issues.
• Review threats and incidents related to vulnerability scanning and determine root cause analysis, conduct validation, and recommend remediation.
• Provide the various business units with incident response and threat and vulnerability management services as required by the business.
• Experience with reading firewall, IDS/IPS technology logs.
• Maintain awareness of new and emerging cyber-attack and network threats correlated with Threat Intelligence and CISA Reporting.
• Conduct incident response and triage of security events that contribute to indicators of attack or compromise.
• Provide suggestions, solutions, and integrations to improve SOC Operations.
• Assist with escalations, reporting procedures and investigations
• Provide Knowledge of TCP/IP communications and how common protocols and applications work at the network level to include DNS, HTTP, and SMB
• Ensure security appliances, data sources and configurations up to date, and operational.
• Works well in a cohesive team environment to include being able to work alone with minimum guidance.
Skills & Requirements
• 4+ years of Security Center Operations experience in enterprise environments
• Must possess strong detection and investigation experience with EDR/XDR appliances (SentinelOne, Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, etc)
• Must possess hands-on experience analyzing high volume logs, network data, and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations utilizing SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, etc)
• Must possess working experience with scripting languages (PowerShell and/or Python)
• Must possess solid experience with threat vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Rapid7-Nexpose or Tenable/Nessus)
• Bachelor of Computer Science, Cyber Security or Information Technology
• Preferred certifications GCHI, C| EH, SSCP, CySA+
• Experience with Kali Linux, Nmap, hack-the-box or TryHackMe
• Experience with MITRE ATT&CK Framework and TTP's
• Experience with email security (Proofpoint)
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel/Defender.
