Lisa Rodgers scoops Times Crème and Hays Secretarial PA of the Year Award
The search is over as the Times Crème Hays Secretarial PA of the Year Award 2007 went to Lisa Rodgers, PA to Rachel Bell, Managing Director of London-based Shine Communications.
'Exceedingly high' standard
"It was great to sponsor and be a part of such an important event. The standard of applicants was exceedingly high - it was very difficult to pick a winner. I'd like to congratulate Lisa on winning the top prize and wish her and all the other applicants every success in their careers," said Geoff Sims, Managing Director of Hays Secretarial who was also on the judging panel.
Lisa, who has been working as a PA for 10 years (and with Shine Communications for the past five), was visiblty elated, "I cannot put into words what winning the Times Crème Hays Secretarial PA of the Year Award means to me. All the other shortlisted candidates were of such a high standard."
The runners-up were Jane Snee, Antoinette de Lisser and Sarah Darwin, who were all presented with their trophies by Geoff Sims.
Trip of a lifetime
Entries had to send a CV of no more than two pages, including an explanation of their current role with a separate document of up to 500 words, explaining why they feel they should win the award. This was followed by a telephone interview.
As well as being awarded the title of The Times Crème and Hays Secretarial PA of the Year, Lisa and a friend or partner will enjoy a trip to the idyllic island of Malta, staying at the fabulous Fortina Spa Resort.
The prize, worth over £4,000, includes return flights, transfers, seven nights' accommodation on an all-inclusive basis, daily Thalasso pool treatments, a harbour boat cruise and a day cruise to the Blue Lagoon. The competition will be re-launced in January 2008.
