Paul Clarke , National Director Retail & Wholesale Banking, opened the proceedings with a discussion about the state of the UK retail sector based on the research conducted by the Retail & Wholesale Team at Barclays Bank plc.
Clare Kemsley , MD of Hays Retail presented the research findings, including the reasons why jobseekers seek a career in retail and the recruitment challenges facing employers in the retail sector.
Aaron McKenzie , Global Resourcing & Talent Director of The Body Shop, spoke about the global retail hiring challenge and the importance of staff turnover as an indicator of good hiring policy.
