CIPS Supply Management Awards 2008
Hays Purchasing & Supply is delighted to be supporting the CIPS Supply Management awards for the 6th year in succession. While we recognise the importance of procurement within organisations, there is often a lack of understanding of procurement’s role.
Awards such as these not only recognise the exceptional talent that there is within the profession but helps to raise awareness of the pivotal role that purchasing can play.
Recognising and rewarding those in procurement jobs
As international and multi award winning basketball player Michael Jordan once stated, “I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying”. We fully agree with Michael, while not everyone can be an award winner on the night, not trying is unacceptable. As sponsor of the Best People Development Award we look forward to intense competition for this and all other categories in 2008.
The awards are taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on Thursday 4 September 2008. They have grown dramatically since our first involvement in 2002 and 2008 will be as per previous years, a huge success and a testament to the growing importance of procurement within organisations across both the public and private sector.
