Hays sponsors the Guardian Public Services Awards 2008
Hays is proud to have extended its partnership with the Guardian in presenting the Public Services Awards 2008 for the fifth year running. By honouring outstanding work, the awards aim to encourage and disseminate improvement, innovation and effective progress in our public services.
As the leading public services recruitment consultancy, Hays supplies temporary, permanent and managed service solutions across central and local government, the NHS, charities, social housing and the education sector. The awards are the leading celebration of excellence among organisations commissioning or providing services, whether they themselves sit in the public, private or voluntary sector.
The various categories of the awards offer opportunities for most organisations to enter. This year we have introduced a new category for people management, under the innovation and progress umbrella.
Innovation and Progress
The Guardian have sought to identify core roles that unite all organisations who deliver public services: people management, a new category; sustainability, transformation; customer service; partnership working; diversity and equality. Judging will be based less of what has been achieved but rather by evidence of progress within the organisation.
Winners & Awards
As well as significantly raising the profile of their work and achievements among their colleagues and peers, the winning teams and organisations will be featured in a special awards supplement to appear in the Guardian. The winning organisations will also be able to use the awards logo on their own promotional material.
The winners of the awards will be announced on November 25 2008 at a prestigious awards ceremony in central London.
