Recruiter Supports Next Generation - Reading

Hays Construction, one of the UK’s leading specialist recruitment consultancies, recently attended a prizegiving ceremony at the University of Reading to present a prize to a winning student. Claire Menaney and Mark Stratton at Hays Construction & Property, presented the prize to the University of Reading winner, Oliver Shaw. 

Oliver has recently completed his BSc Building Construction and Management course and won the prize for the Most Outstanding Performance in the Final Year. Hays Construction awarded Oliver with a cheque and a framed certificate. 

Mark Stratton of Hays Construction says: “A lot of people don’t realise that there is a shortage of qualified construction professionals in the UK. This prize is a small step to encourage the next generation of construction workers to remain in their studies and to reward them for their hard work. Not only is it great to support students to pursue a career in construction, but we would also encourage students to stay in Reading and explore the employment opportunities that exist in and around the city”
