LOCAL WORK FOR LOCAL PEOPLE
The size and scale of the Thames Gateway development is exciting news for local workers. Not only will it regenerate the area and improve living standards, but it will also increase the number of jobs in the area, particularly in the construction and property industry. Employers will be looking to recruit hundreds of workers as work commences, from tradesmen and labourers to construction managers, architects and surveyors.
The Thames Gateway includes substantial residential development, the regeneration of Dartford town centre, an extension to Bluewater shopping centre and a £150 million investment in roads and transport, plus much more. As a result, Dartford and the surrounding area will be attractive to jobseekers from across the UK and overseas, which will undoubtedly lead to salary rises for skilled professionals. Hays Construction & Property is looking to promote these opportunities to local workers with an open day on Friday 30th March, from 7.30am until 6pm. This will take place in the new office on Spital Street in Dartford.
