DEVELOPMENTS IN DERBY

Huge growth in the construction industry in and around Derby is extremely positive for workers in the area, says local recruitment consultancy Hays Construction & Property. In order to meet an increased demand for industry professionals working locally, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment consultancy opened a new office on Gower Street in Derby at the beginning of this year.

Projects currently underway in the area include the ambitious Roundhouse Development which will see the Grade ll listed buildings restored to create a flagship site for Derby College. The Roundhouse will be the new base for a wide variety of courses including construction and engineering, as well as a visitor centre and meeting place. Other projects include the extensive construction work underway at Derby City General Hospital and the repair and building work taking place at Sinfin Community School.
