Construction Job Market Growth, Perth
Growth in the construction industry in and around Perth is good news for workers in the area, says local recruitment consultancy Hays Construction & Property. In order to meet an increased demand for industry professionals working locally, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment consultancy will be opening a new office on Rose Terrace in Perth. To celebrate the launch of this new office, the team will be holding an open day specifically for construction professionals, tradesmen & labourers and technical temporary workers on Thursday 5th June.
Projects currently underway in the area include extensive construction work worth £136 million taking place at six schools in Perth, Blairgowrie, Aberfeldy, Kinross and Crieff. Work has already started and the completion date for the final school is October 2011. In addition, the construction of a mental health facility worth £85million is due to start shortly at Murray Royal Hospital in Perth, as is the redevelopment of Perth Prison, which is worth £17.5million. Construction workers across all disciplines are in high demand; however CSCS labourers, joiners and site managers are particularly sought after.
