LOCAL SCHOOL WINS HAYS CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION
A local primary school, Heaton St. Barnabas C of E Primary School in Bradford, has an extra reason to celebrate this Christmas as they have been chosen as the winners of a Christmas card competition run by Hays Education, one of the UK’s leading recruitment consultancies. Katie Ejankowski-Leetham, the young designer of the winning card for the North, was rewarded with £50 book vouchers.
The competition required children from primary schools around the UK to design their own Christmas card. Katie Ejankowski-Leetham was chosen as the winner from schools across the North. The competition involved many schools and children from a wide age range and ability and it was difficult to pick a winner because of the high standards. The winning design shows Santa’s sleigh flying across the sky.
Melanie Wood, manager at Hays Education in Leeds says, “We are delighted to enter into the Christmas spirit by giving the children a fun activity through which allows them to enhance their creative skills and explore their imagination.”
