University of Portsmouth (Quantitiy Surveying) - Award-winning Student

A local student from Maidstone has beaten off strong competition to win a top prize. Claire Francis recently completed her final year at the University of Portsmouth and won the Quantity Surveying Student of the Year Award, which is sponsored by the leading specialist recruitment consultancy, Hays Property & Surveying.

The purpose of the award is to promote, recognise and reward excellence in the field of property and surveying. Hays Property & Surveying recently attended a prizegiving ceremony at the University to present a cheque and framed certificate to the proud student.

Matthew Whitfield, Senior Manager at Hays Property & Surveying, says: “A lot of people don’t realise that there is a shortage of qualified quantity surveyors in the UK. This prize is a small step to reward the next generation for their hard work.
