Charity 5s Event - Overall Winners

Skanska stormed to victory at the 2008 Construction Charity 5s plate knockout tournament after a thrilling final match against Mansell. Supporters turned out in force to cheer the teams on at the Goals Soccer Centre and the day saw some excellent football played in perfect conditions.

The competition raises money for the construction industry charity, The Lighthouse Club, and each year raises in excess of £10,000 as part of a series of football events. Forty six teams took part in this year’s knock-out tournament, which is co-sponsored by leading specialist recruitment consultancy, Hays Construction, and Skanska. The competition format is designed to give everybody a great day’s football with mini-leagues followed by the Cup knock-out.
