Project Accountant
Wimbledon. £45,000 + benefits
The ongoing growth and development of The All England Club and the
continuous success of The Championships have led to the creation of
an exciting new key role within the finance team. Reporting to the Financial
Controller, this is a mainly project-based role encompassing financial
accounting, controls, systems development and commercial tasks; as well
as assisting the team with operational responsibilities. You will have
the opportunity to work closely with colleagues at a senior level throughout
the business and you will be expected to influence and advise them on
a variety of issues.
Main accountabilities:
- Development of The All England Lawn Tennis Ground plc accounting,
including creation and maintenance of a fixed asset register for the
Ground Company
- Identification, development, implementation and monitoring of effective
accounting controls and policies.
- Assistance in the production and development of the management
pack
- Involvement in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Significant contribution to development projects including IT systems
- Adhoc management information and analysis as requested
- Involvement in negotiation of commercial contracts
- Analysis of new business initiatives
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Accountant
- Strong financial accounting knowledge
- High degree of commercial acumen
- Assertive and able to influence non-finance colleagues
- Able to demonstrate track record of providing innovative solutions
- Strong IT skills

Although this role is initially offered as a 12 month contract, there
is a possibility that this will develop into a longer term role in a
financial or operational capacity.
