At West Herts College, we're actively making wider access to education a reality. Serving more than 23,000 students across four campuses, we help people from all walks of life to realise their full potential through a broad and evolving range of academic and vocational courses.
The history of West Herts College can be traced back to 1947, with the foundation of Watford Technical College. Since then we have grown in size, amalgamating various other local educational establishments such as Cassio College, Dacorum College and George Stephenson College. West Herts College was founded in 1991 and now encompasses four sites:
- Watford campus Hempstead Road
- Cassio campus Langley Road, Watford
- Dacorum campus Hemel Hempstead town centre
- Construction and Engineering Centre Kings Langley
Each site has its own character and unique set of facilities, dependent on the courses offered and the students who study there. Our students come from across West Hertfordshire and beyond, including much of north London. Their backgrounds and ambitions are just as diverse and we thrive on meeting these needs.
