These are exciting and challenging times for us. The Waveney District is currently poised to enter a very exciting stage of development as it seeks to reposition itself as a modern and competitive destination. The area has tremendous potential for both economic and community prosperity and we are looking for a Director of Resources who can help us deliver this potential.
Our new Director of Resources will lead a range of services, including finance and asset management, and work in partnership with the Chief Executive and elected members to ensure our residents get what they deserve – the very best. We are an ambitious Council, determined to take advantage of the significant opportunities that the region offers. We are also committed to resolving the challenges we face in a part of the country where regeneration is very much on the agenda.
We are about to enter into a ground breaking partnership with Suffolk Coastal District Council and will be sharing a Chief Executive. As Director of Resources you will work with the Chief Executive and Members in developing this joint arrangement, including shared service options.
