South East Water and Mid Kent Water have recently merged to create a water company supplying clean and wholesome drinking water to over 2 million people in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire. This exciting merger has lead to a new centralised customer service centre housing 150 staff being set up at our head office in Snodland to provide a one-stop-shop to all customer queries, whether it’s about their water bill, leaks on pipes, or their drinking water supply.
The new customer service centre will create additional customer service jobs in the organisation and offer a number of opportunities for existing staff within both companies as well as local job seekers.
Paul Butler, Managing Director of South East Water, said: “I strongly believe the creation of an enlarged South East Water will enable us to deliver a cost effective, enhanced customer service.
“Furthermore, with the issue of water resources increasingly critical to supporting growth in this region, we will become a leading voice in the future of drinking water supply in the South East to help deliver a more sustainable and efficient water supply for the region.
South East Water is committed to promoting environmentally friendly projects. We are very pleased to have been awarded the Business Commitment to the Environment’s Peter Parker Prize. The Peter Parker Prize Award, which has recently been won by the Eden Project in Cornwall, named South East Water as the company providing the most outstanding example of environmental best practice in the country.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving, expanding team as part of their Customer Service division.
