About Waste

Scott Wilson has over 20 years international experience across a broad range of waste management areas and contaminated land with major private sector operators, waste management regulators, governments, funding agencies and non-government organisations.

We have a proven record on waste strategy, planning and environmental control. This takes in institutional strengthening and master planning, feasibility studies and site selection, planning advice and assistance, licensing and permitting assistance, groundwater and gas risk assessments. Other services include audits to ascertain waste minimisation, re-use and recycling opportunities, design of landfills and waste handling facilities, integration of environmental management systems and bespoke training.

With the current focus on the development of brownfield land, we are heavily involved with the investigation and assessment of contaminated land and groundwater, to provide sustainable remedial solutions that are cost effective and satisfy both regulators and stakeholders. We have experience in the redevelopment of gasworks sites, landfills, chemical works, petrol stations and heavy engineering works for industrial, commercial, retail and residential uses.

Scott Wilson has been at the forefront of the water and coastal sector for over 50 years, establishing a track record in more than 50 countries. Our activities in the sector encompass the complete water cycle and our clients include developers, contractors, water companies, industry, regulators and agencies.

Our water engineering activities includes flood defences, dams, water supply and water treatment plants, pumping stations, pipe networks, sewerage, wastewater treatment, and outfalls. Our capability includes process and mechanical and electrical engineering, hydrology, water quality, hydraulic and network modelling tools.
